How Does the PDP Work?
Each year Pfizer selects accomplished new and recent graduate degree-level candidates from top universities for the Pfizer Parenteral R&D Professional Development Program (PDP).
PDP Scientists engage in 4 rotations that encompass every aspect of parenteral drug development. This work begins in Pipeline Development, where new product concepts are identified. Select candidates are advanced to Concept Evaluation, where the Concept Evaluation and Research Team investigates and evaluates potential products for feasibility. Successful targets are advanced to Product Development where our formulation, analytical, and manufacturing teams perform the required activities for submission to regulatory agencies. Once products are in the marketplace, researchers support life cycle management to continuously improve products for patients and healthcare providers. Additional experience in alignment with your professional goals is then obtained through selection of an elective rotation.
Together, these stages provide insight into the full product life cycle and allow for a comprehensive understanding of the parenteral drug industry. These combined experiences prepare you to become the next generation of Pfizer's leaders.
